Résumé en anglais
The methodology illustrated refers to the extraordinary maintenance work carried out between 1989 and 1997 on a four-kilometre stretch of the sixteenth-century walls of Padua. The argument relating to the conservation of the continuous structures and the pertinent embankments also refers to the bastion of S. Croce, which is not included in the section of the wall considered. The studies and works carried out above this bastion have been a veritable laboratory which has made it possible to refine the methods described, consisting of weed control and minimal intervention works on a large urban ruin.
