Résumé en anglais
President Georges Pompidou felt, 35 years ago, that cities had to adapt to the car. The famous highways on the banks of the Seine in Paris are still here today to witness this vision of the city inherited directly from the principles of the Charter of Athens before the war.
Many cities have implemented today new policies such as the intelligent management of parking, the efficient selection of the entry of vehicles in the historic area, public transport and environmentally appropriate, etc....The statement emphasizes the need to integrate these policies for sustainable mobility in the backup plans and rehabilitation of historic centers.
