Since 1956, UNESCO has adopted a series of Recommendations which specify laws, financial measures and administrative framework which would favour heritage conservation. However, no international network has emerged to compare methods of implementation for these recommendations. Lawyers, tax experts and others now hope to remedy this gap, beginning with a symposium of these subjects in August 1990
