This fifth volume of the Monumenta series adresses the concept of Baukultur in the context of its use in the Davos Declaration adopted during the European year of Cultural Heritage 2018. Baukultur is understood as the sum of all human activities that maintain and shape the building environment. It contains 14 essays discussing the importance of cultural heritage to define a high-quality Baukultur and explores the opportunities for monuments and monument preservation to play their part in it.
