Résumé en anglais
There are few cases in which one cultural itinerary overpass centuries making possible the superposition of different cultures and different worlds. This is the case of the historical road Lima - Cordoba of Tucuman. The interaction of economical, geographical, political and cultural aspects makes possible that special cultural reality. This does not only include real evidences of the existence of the road but also define a bigger space where there are common elements which are culturally identified and they persist in the pass of time.In that rare context, cultures and civilizations, favored by the geography and structural factors of economical, political, social and mental nature, superpose themselves. The persistence of the route Lima - Cordoba of Tucuman shows us Inca roots (16th century) that have left cultural and material tracks; later, they also support the existence of the Spanish intercontinental Royal road with its own typical features and manifestations (16th - 19th century).
This cultural itinerary connects a patrimony which has a variety of cultural and historical origin. To its protection and recovery it is necessary to take special measures, because at the present time it runs through three different national territories. In fact, the task is not only to make historical research but also formulate projects and take actions to obtain its complete recovery through the international cooperation.
