The ICOMOS International Scientific Committee on Cultural Routes (CIIC) presents progress made in research by its experts, in order to discover new possibilities of how cultural routes manifest themselves on the landscape. To this end, this document established several themes such as Interpretation, conservation and revaluation of Cultural Routes, where it is possible to analyze the value of culture and its products such as tangible and intangible heritage and from there seek the establishment of variables in the appropriation of knowledge of Cultural Routes, intangible values are one of the main engines of its existence. Another theme is Cultural Routes and the Territory, one of the greatest concerns of humans in search of ways to least affect at our planet, considering environmental management, climate change and impact assessments, these topics aim to analyze the holistic vision of heritage and its multidimensional, continuous and reciprocal exchanges of goods, ideas, knowledge and values between peoples as well as the historical occupation of the territory that is the indisputable result of the processes of conformation of the Cultural Routes. These exchanges were extensive and a Shared Heritage appeared on the Cultural Routes, which, while shared, is unique to each region, recognizes the common dignity between different regions, accepting processes of transversality and management of Cultural Routes, as well as the understanding among nations the adoption of the Declaration for Peace made in 2009 in Ise, Japan. And the fundamental threads of Cultural Routes are recognized, which are the Historic Roads that are analyzed from their specific typology and heritage value, as well as their importance in the geographical linkage between communities. El Comité Científico Internacional de Itinerarios Culturales de ICOMOS (CIIC) presenta los avances que en investigación realizan sus expertos, con la finalidad de dar seguimiento y descubrir nuevas posibilidades. Para ello, en este documento se establecieron varios ejes temáticos como son la Interpretación, conservación y revaloración de los Itinerarios Culturales, en donde es posible analizar el valor de la cultura y sus productos como son el patrimonio tangible y el intangible y a partir de ahí buscar el establecimiento de las variables en la apropiación del conocimiento de los Itinerarios Culturales, ya que es la esencia del intangible uno de los principales motores de su existencia. Otro eje temático es los Itinerarios Culturales y el Territorio, al día de hoy una de las mayores preocupaciones del ser humano dentro de la búsqueda por la menor afectación a nuestro planeta, considerando la gestión ambiental, el cambio climático y la evaluación de impactos, es analizar la visión holística del patrimonio y sus intercambios multidimensionales, continuos y recíprocos de bienes, ideas, conocimientos y valores entre pueblos así como la ocupación histórica del territorio que es resultado indiscutible de los procesos de conformación de los Itinerarios Culturales. Sabedores de que estos intercambios fueron amplios, se construyó un Patrimonio compartido en los Itinerarios Culturales, el que, si bien es compartido, es singular a cada región por ello, se reconoce la dignidad común entre diversas regiones, aceptando procesos de transversalidad y gestión de los Itinerarios Culturales, así como el entendimiento entre las naciones vertido todo en la continuidad a la adopción de la Declaración por la Paz realizada en el año 2009 en Ise, Japón. Y se reconoce al hilo fundamental de los Itinerarios Culturales, que son los Caminos Históricos a los cuales se analiza desde su tipología y valor patrimonial específico, así como su importancia en la vinculación geográfica entre comunidades.
