The centenary of the founding of the Bauhaus School was marked last year, one of the most influential and progressive schools of architecture, design, visual arts and urban-planning in the world. In the course of its work, the school has raised a number of issues relevant to the modern age, which even today attract the attention. The influence of this school on social, cultural and artistic trends in Bosnia and Herzegovina is indisputable. On this occasion, the ICOMOS National Committee in Bosnia and Herzegovina organized a scientific symposium on “The influence of the Bauhaus on contemporary architecture and culture of Bosnia and Herzegovina” in Sarajevo in December 2019. In this way, the ICOMOS NC in Bosnia and Herzegovina continues its mission of presenting the achievements of architecture, society and culture in the 20th century in Bosnia and Herzegovina to a broad professional, domestic and international public.The contents of this publication - proceedings are supplemented by the presentations of the scientific symposium’s participants with a concluding critical review by one of the moderators of the symposium.
