Résumé en anglais
Dirk Bühler's publication on the historic architecture of the city of Puebla, Mexico, featuring on the World Heritage List since 1987, is the result of many years of research. The book focuses on civil architecture, i.e. the construction of bridges and aqueducts for water supply. The building materials which are indispensable for their realization are described in detail. The urban and private architecture of the city of Puebla is presented under its technical, functional, artistic-aesthetic and social aspects.
